Mr Stripey Gets A Headrush

Well amazingly, I haven’t managed to kill my tomato yet. I have noticed a few things about this upsidedown method I’m playing with:
- Moisture is held in the water bottle much longer than in a regular container. You have to be careful not to overwater your plant.
- Because Mr. Stripey is upside down, he really wants to see the sun. He is going to some serious yoga-style lengths to “go into the light…” see the picture below.
It will be interesting to see if Stripey eventually relaxes his pose or continues to stretch upwards. The funny thing is, he’s really not in the shade, even upside down. My concern will be if he continues to reach for the sky, when he puts on weight the stem will surely break. We’ll see how this develops as the days go on.
In the meantime, Stripey has put on some size pretty quick. Could be because he’s getting a headrush. Could be because he’s in some serious Miracle Grow. Here’s his current state of affairs:

Sorry my pics aren’t all that. My camera was in the shop and just got back today. My next sets of photos should be nicer now that I have the camera vs my cell phone.
